Expanded BiographyMR. Kabacinsky was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School. He continued his education at Ohio Northern University, Notre Dame and graduated from St. Joseph’s College in Jensen Beach, Florida with a bachelor of science in business administration. Mr. Kabacinski is co-founder and executive Director of V.I.S.I.O.N., Inc., Luzerne County’s emergency shelter for the homeless since 1986. Now in his 20th year of service to the communities that make up the county, V.I.S.I.O.N.! continues to provide emergency shelter and related services in addition to operating the Drop-In-Center and the Community Outreach Program. Mr. Kabacinski has been featured on local and national television and radio because of his controversial style of working with the homeless. He is the agency co-founder of the motto 'Rebuilding Lives One at A Time.' Currently, he is working on a book to be published in 2009, titled "A Rock For a Pillow." He participated in the first homeless count in the Commonwealth traveling over 4,000 Miles throughout Pennsylvania doing an assessment of program needs.
